Named for the year Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan first arrived on our islands with a Spanish Armada, our story comes full circle 500 years later.
From a 5-room hostel that still stands on the same site, we’ve grown into a 56-room de luxe hotel on Mactan Island in the Province of Cebu. 1521 Hotel opens its doors to travelers ready to discover the undisputed Queen City of the South.
